Rachel Bilson - Funny or Die
I've been trying to decide if I should post this here or not. It's hilarious, but fairly nsfw. I'll put it under a cut, because the still makes it look much more nsfw than it is.

    Too much heat = help!
I have very long, very dyed, thin texture/very full volume hair.

I do not heat style, as I wear my hair curly, but I had a very horrible flat iron expierience at a salon a few weeks back. Way too much heat was used and when I brushed my hair the next day it looked as if my fiance had shaved in the sink.

    Lots of breakage.

My hair literally looks sad. Like some sort of Weeping Willow. My curls just look tired.

I'm currently not in the financial spot to have my hair cut in any sort of way (although I know that would probably be for the best. I have such a dislike for hair cuts!)

What sort of conditioning treatments would you recommend? I use lots of conditoner/leave in conditoner but I could use some suggestions on your favorite products that could possibley help the state of my hair. It needs some serious R&R.

I've heard good things about Paul Mitchell products. I just don't want to harm it anymore.

    Thank you!

    Favourite Covergirl Mascara?
Hi, what's your favourite waterproof mascara by Covergirl?

I also noticed there's Very Black and Black for most of the mascaras. Is the difference significant?

    TIA!

    spot treatment
I have Clearisil Spot Treatment and I love it - works amazing for me. I've had the single tube for over a year now and have barely used half the tube. My question is: when is it time to throw it away? Does it ever get old? I use it twice a day, everyday.

What spot treatment, if any, do you use?

    Blue Black Hair Dye
So I currently have black hair. I would like to keep it black but change it up a bit. I have been thinking about trying out a blue black dye color. My black hair gives off reddish tones in the light, and I don't want that anymore. I wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with blue black hair dyes and how were your results? Thanks <3

    Another clueless hair post...
Sorry to throw my own "I'm getting my hair done tomorrow and I have no idea what I want" post into the mix, but it's really really true. You guys always have good advice, and I trust you more than my own family, haha.

I'm looking to update my look and am not afraid of edgy, short, or bold styles. My hair is pretty blah right now though and I am really looking to change things up. My hair is on the thin and oily side, if that makes a difference.

I've had the Asymmetric bob for the past year, and I'm sick of it. It's nice because it's easy and low-maintenance, which is important to me. I've tried doing the whole bangs thing, and I suck at them; they always get all gross and piecy within a few minutes of my doing them, but I am willing to consider getting them again if I think the cut will really work for me. (Sidenote: bang styling tips, anyone?)

I've included some pictures beneath the cut; one is with my hair straight, and the other is with it curly (albeit, that one is a few years old). Ideally, I'd like a haircut that would let me wear it both ways.

Pictures are always helpful because I'm incapable of picturing anything on me without visual assistance.

    2 pictures right here! )

    Thank you!!!

    Silk/Satin
I've heard that silk/satin pillow cases will make a huge difference when it comes to your hair and skin since other cases will soak the moisture from it.

My ends are severely damaged and I believe the majority of the reason is due to how I sleep. I'd go to bed with silky hair after I deep conditioner it and apply PM's Skinny serum but I'd wake up with brittle ends. I found out my hair tends to get caught under my shoulders so any movement usually crushes them and drags them across my pillow.

Has anyone made this switch and did it help at all?

    help!
I just washed my face with a cleanser that contains benzoyl peroxide ...it usually helps clear up my pimples super fast and i've never had a reaction before but this time my face has turned bright red and blotchy and burns!

I'm totally broke, but can anyone suggest something to make it go away?

    Outfits and Hairstyle Tips
So all my life I have been always been poked fun because I am not stylish, don't know how to put clothes together, etc.
What are your favourite stores to shop?
What are some basics in your wardrobe that you love?
Any websites that can show me cute, everyday outfits...I've already seen lookbook.nu and that's a bit too fashion forward for me.

Recommendations for a hairstyle, I've been looking to dye/cut it- I have pale-pinkish skin, dark brown eyes, long dark brown hair, and a round face.

Lastly, please post hair tutorial sites. Step by steps on how to create braids, up-dos, etc..

    Question + Review
Can anyone help me identify the colors used in this look?

Also, I just bought the Clarisonic Mia on eBay, and I caught myself in the mirror today, and my skin was actually glowing. It has never, ever glowed before. It's always looked a little dull, and I've tried brightening serums that never worked. I'm 23, and I'm at that age where zits are no longer really a problem, but my skin texture is still shitty. After using this only twice, my pores (medium-sized) are now pretty much non-existent, and all the rough patches are smooth.

    couples massage
Back again but with another question... hopefully this is allowed!

My boyfriend made an appointment for us to get a couples massage tonight. I'm really psyched but this is my first massage EVER. Do I take off my bra? What should I expect?

Skin Help and Make up Tips!
    1) My skin is always red and blotchy, incredibly flaky dry, and I also have some acne. Any suggestions on products that can cover the redness or help treat it?

    2) This sounds odd but, any tips on how to make your nose appear smaller? lol I am so self conscious of my big nose. Thanks :)

    Hair toner
So, I've been bleaching my hair for years, and I'm finally getting around to trying a toner. I mostly just want to remove the brassy tones that stick around the roots.

Only problem is that the toner came with little to no directions. I know to mix it with a low volume developer, and most info online says to apply it "after beaching." My question: how soon after bleaching? When it's still wet from rinsing, a day, lifespan of the average housefly?

Also, a friend in cosmetology school told me that toners are demi colors, so if it turns my hair a weird color, I can shampoo like crazy to wash it out. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

    VS fragrances and Sweaters/Dresses
Does anyone happen to know if the "Giftable" size VS fragrances are sold in stores? The closest one is a town away and I hate to get a ride down there if they don't sell them. I'm looking to try out Noir, but haven't wanted to drop $40 on a huge bottle.

I've been looking for better winter wear and I'm not wowed by most of the sweaters I've found. What are some good online stores with cute sweaters or long sleeved dresses?

    Pale assness
I am SUPER pale and I'm kinda sick of looking like a ghost!

Now, I'm not a noob to makeup by any stretch of the imagination BUT I've never really used bronzers or powders before. Now I want more colour to my skin apart from blush and I'm pretty much stuck on what to do. . .

I've started using Benefit's 10 bronzer side in the hallows of my cheeks (is that even the right placement?!) and someone asked if I'd lost weight so BIG plus! I should also add here that I have a round face heh and would LOVE to know how to contour as well.

    I was looking at:

Victoria’s Secret Exotic Jewels Luminous Face Powder Gems

    &

    Guerlain Meteorites Perles Impériales

Now, from what I understand you just sweep these over the face right? Has anyone used these products or anything similiar?

I really want colour and a glow without looking dirty and to make my face a little more contoured. I'm just at a loss of how to go about this and would love any input!

I'm an NC25 in MAC foundation if that helps.

    Thanks :)

    Sunscreen causing pimples
    Hello

I suspect that my sunscreen is causing my skin to breakout. For a few days this week I only had to go out in the afternoon as the sun was setting, so I didn't wear my sunscreen - just my mineral powder makeup. I noticed during those three days that my skin became really smooth and no new pimples popped up. Yesterday I had a full day so I put on my sunscreen, and by the end of the day I had a nice big new irritated cluster of pimples on my cheek.

I NEED to wear sunscreen everyday because I am very freckly/moley and more prone to burning, as well as at a high risk of skin cancer. But I'm desperately trying to get rid of all my acne scars and I can't do that while I keep getting new ones. I'm going to try going out without sunscreen for the next few days, just to see if it really is the cause of my pimples (and staying deep in the shade, of course). However, if it really is the cause, what can I do? I'm currently using this Mentholatum sunscreen. Should I keep trying other sunscreens? But aren't the base ingredients all the same and will still break me out? I like this one because its got a light, milky texture and when it settles into my skin I can't feel it at all. Can anyone suggest other suncreens that are similar?

Help!... any advice would be great.

I'm in the market for a new concealer.
Nothing has ever really caught my fancy too much as far as concealer goes. As it would be, I'm in the market and curious what you lovely ladies and gents would recommend for me as far as what I'm looking for.

Let me start with that I'm pale. By pale, I mean excessively pale. I have a melanin deficiency which leads me to be pale year round and incapable of tanning. Let's just say I buy the white Face Atelier foundation and add their palest foundation to that to create my perfect shade.

I don't break out much, so I'm mainly looking for something for under my eyes and around the edges of my nose where foundation tends to rub off. So, something long lasting would be excellent. And fragrance free, if it's not too much to ask. I don't use mineral make up, bismuth oxychloride wrecks havoc on my skin -- so only liquid-y and creamy consistency concealers, please!

What are you favorite brands of concealer? I am willing to order online! (Hey, I live in Iowa, where do you think I do most of my shopping?)

Day Time Moisturizer for Sensitive Acne-Prone Skin/Mineral Makeup
I've been using a sample of MDSkincare's Hydra Pure Oil-Free moisturizer I got at Sephora, which I love, but it's $77. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative ($50 or less) that is lightweight but really does moisturize, absorbs quickly, and is calming/gentle with no irritants or oils. The MD Skincare has aloe vera juice in it, which I've found to be very soothing. It would be great if I could find something similar. At night I've been using Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. It does the job very well but is too greasy for daytime wear.

I used Everyday Minerals foundation a few years ago but stopped after it broke me out. I'm currently using Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet. I love the coverage, but I'm curious about switching back to a mineral foundation to see whether it will help with my mild cystic acne. I figure the less ingredients that are in my makeup, the better. Can someone recommend a non-irritating mineral makeup that has medium to heavy coverage and will stay in place most of the day? Thank you guys!
